A Victorian native, Senpai Kasey Hyames moved to Perth in 2016 to pursue her professional Career. She began training with Traditional Karate Academy and hasn’t looked back.
Kasey began training in 1998 at the young age of 6 years old and achieved the rank of Shodan in 2009 and in 2013 her rank of Nidan.
In 2001 Kasey entered her first competition. Among her many competitive achievements were the following placings:

• 2012 achieved 2^nd place Snr Female Team kata, Nationals
• 3^rd place in SSU open in Japan, snr female team kumite
• 2014 1^st Place Snr female team kata nationals
• 2015 1^st place snr female team kata nationals
• 2012 -15 Victorian State team member
• 2015 Australian team member
• 2017 WA State team member.

Kasey is currently working towards her competitive career and in the future hopes to have a greater involvement in coaching.
